Paper Details%T A deadlock\-free communication system for a transputer network %A E. Gallizzi, M. Cannataro, G. Spezzano, Domenico Talia %E Stephen J. Turner %B OUG\-12: Tools and Techniques for Transputer Applications %X The design and an implementation overview of a communication system which provides deadlock\-free operation in a tightly coupled message\-passing multicomputer system is presented. Furthermore, routing simulation results for a 4x 10 computer array are described. The communication system has many positive characteristics including provable deadlock\-freedom, guaranteed message arrival, and automatic local congestion reduction. This system has been implemented in Occam 2 on a network of Transputers. |
