%X We present domain\-specific transformations of the
   ray\-tracing algorithm targeting reconfigurable hardware
devices. Ray tracing is a computationally intensive
algorithm used to produce photorealistic images of
three\-dimensional scenes. We show how the proposed
transformations can adapt the basic ray\-tracing algorithm
to a breadth\-first style, and give estimates for the
   hardware needed for realtime raytracing.
